The transition to sustainable mobility is a huge challenge and, at the same time, essential to meet our collective climate targets. Sustainability is also high on the agenda in the public transport sector. In the Netherlands, for example, there is a sector-wide goal to only introduce new zero-emission buses by 2025 and to phase out all diesel-buses by 2030. These ambitions are challenging due to a stakeholder landscape in which various private and public actors play a significant role.
Rebel has been asked by the province of South Holland to help them navigate this complex landscape. The Province is responsible for public transport within the region. They face challenges in realizing sustainability ambitions while also providing affordable public transport.
